Ministry
We believe each person has a ministry in the church and a mission in the world. The ministry in the family of God revolves begins with the spiritual gifts described in Scripture (see Romans 12, I Corinthians 12, and Ephesians 4:11). According to the Bible, each follower of Jesus has received the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit gives to each a certain "gift" of the Spirit. Some of the more common gifts are teaching, service, and pastoring. Some of the more dramatic gifts are speaking in tongues and the interpretation of tongues.

The question is this: What are your spiritual gifts? How has the Holy Spirit gifted you in such a way that your ministry in the family of faith builds people up toward spiritual maturity? At SBPC, we equip people to discover their spiritual gifts so that they might have a ministry based on their calling and giftedness, and not on guilt.

Mission
At South-Broadland, we are a mission-hearted church. Each Christian also has a mission in the world. This mission has to do with passion. What are you really passionate about? We strive to help our congregation to seek their gifts and engage their passions, and let their experiences and faith intersect to be used fully in mission to the world.
